Beef Burgers with Hidden Veg
Burger night just stepped up a notch, friends! Ditch the takeaway, and knock up a batch of these beauties for your Friday fakeaway (or any day, really).
The great thing about these burgers is that they contain no less than eight different vegetables (mostly hidden, of course!)
We don’t squeeze the excess water from our grated veggies and find the patties hold together just fine, even without added breadcrumbs.
Serve these patties with your own burger buns for a completely additive free meal and making your own mayonnaise is well worth the effort, too.
If you’re a smaller family, simply freeze your excess patties in a single layer and they will be ready to cook when you need them!

Ingredients
Preparation
- Place onion, garlic, carrot, mushrooms and zucchini into Thermomix bowl and chop 5 seconds/speed 6.
- Scrape down sides of bowl.
- Add mince, stock, sauce and egg, mix roughly with spatula, then mix 30 seconds/reverse/speed 3. If not combined, scrape down and repeat as necessary.
- Form into 8 patties and cook on a hot pan or barbecue plate, pressing down to release moisture after turning.
- Serve with homemade buns (we love the Easy Everyday White Bread from Thermomix formed into 8 buns), lettuce, tomato, cheese slices, mayonnaise and your choice of sauce or relish.
