Balsamic Fig and Apple Chutney

balsamic-fig-and-apple-chutney.jpeg

I have fond memories of my grandfather’s massive fig tree. Back then though, as a kid, I wasn’t a huge fan of this delicious summer fruit.

Now, as an adult, I’m fortunate to have a fig tree in my own backyard, and when I can keep the birds away, I thoroughly enjoy plucking them straight off the tree and popping them onto a cheese plate or on top of my morning breakfast.

Last summer was a fantastic season for our figs, and so I went to work preserving some to enjoy later.

I hope you will enjoy my balsamic fig and apple chutney.
